Which business results should change and how is marketing's contribution assessed?
You receive a clear assessment.
The assessment provides a sound basis before you commission a mandate, an agency or a larger project.
I identify the key bottlenecks, set out the priorities and recommend a specific way forward.
The result is concise and decision-oriented. It shows what needs to be resolved first, who is needed and which questions remain open.
What I review independently.
The central question is whether activities, costs and responsibility are connected in a traceable way to leads, contracts, sales or revenue.
What is being done today, for whom, for what purpose and with what traceable impact?
Which numbers are reported and do they actually help management make decisions?
Which data is available and can the path from contacts to leads, contracts and revenue be followed?
Which internal and external costs are known and where is information missing for a complete comparison?
Who decides, who leads, who implements and where does work fall between the team, agencies and management?
The process in three steps.
My work takes approximately one working day. Kick-off, analysis and debrief take place on agreed dates.
- Kick-off | around 90 minutes
We clarify objectives, the starting point, open questions and which documents are available for the assessment.
- Analysis and written assessment
I review the available foundations, connect the findings and document the bottlenecks, priorities and recommended way forward.
- Debrief | around 90 minutes
I explain my assessment, answer questions and discuss with you which next step makes sense.
Missing data is also a result.
An assessment does not fail because reliable impact measurement is not yet in place. That gap needs to become visible.
When data is available
- Put existing reports and website data into context
- Connect costs and activities to business results
- Identify contradictions and unclear metrics
- Set priorities based on the available evidence
When data is missing
- Document missing metrics and data sources
- Define the systems and connections required
- Create a measurement plan for leads, contracts, sales and revenue
- Plan an impact review after around three months of usable data
Technical implementation is separate
The assessment shows what should be measured. The technical setup of tracking, systems and interfaces is quoted separately if required.
When a marketing assessment makes sense.
It fits when several problems are mixed together and you need an independent view before making a larger decision.
It fits
- Management sees the costs but no clear contribution to business results
- The team, agencies and specialists are active, but leadership and priorities remain unclear
- A mandate, an agency or a larger project is under consideration
- Current reporting does not answer the business questions
It may not be necessary
- The specific leadership need and responsibility are already clear
- The desired project result can be defined directly
- Only one clearly defined specialist service is missing
- You are only looking for low-cost production hours
What can happen after the assessment.
The recommendation follows the gap. It may involve internal clarification, better measurement, a specialist service, a project, fractional marketing leadership or a permanent hire.
No subsequent mandate is required
The marketing assessment is a standalone service. You can implement the recommendations internally, with existing partners or with another provider.
If marketing leadership is missing, the decision guide compares a mandate, an agency, interim management and a permanent hire. Cost and scope explains the fractional mandate in detail.
Frequently asked questions.
What does the marketing assessment cost?
The fixed price is CHF 2,500. It includes a 90-minute kick-off, analysis of the available foundations, a concise written assessment and a 90-minute debrief.
How long does the assessment take?
My work takes approximately one working day. The calendar duration depends on the dates of the kick-off and debrief and on when the required documents are available. A specific delivery date is therefore agreed before work begins.
Which documents are required?
Existing objectives, budgets, reports, channel overviews, website and campaign data, agency or service-provider overviews, roles and responsibilities are useful. Missing documents do not prevent the assessment.
What happens if reliable measurement data is missing?
The lack of measurement becomes a key finding. You receive a measurement plan covering the required metrics, systems and links to leads, contracts and revenue. Technical implementation is quoted separately.
Do I have to commission a mandate or project from WAAR.CH afterwards?
No. You receive an independent assessment and remain free to decide how and with whom you implement the recommendations.
Can I start directly with fractional leadership or a project?
Yes. If the leadership need, responsibility or project result is already clear, the marketing assessment is not a requirement.
